Mr. Ford has share that On January 13, the City Council passed a motion moving the General Public Comment Session from 5:30 p.m.to 12:00 p.m. The time allowed for each speaker was also modified.
• Tom Tagliabue said that appointment of new officers should have been first on the agenda. He also felt the last sentence in the annual report is unnecessary and should include other donations. On Item 4 he felt the board should ask others to pay, not taxpayers, and that the library should stop giving in to FBISD. • Melanie Sanchez felt that the board should elect someone nonpartisan as Chair. • Vickie Natale questioned the timing of the election of new officers. She felt that it should have been sooner and first on the agenda. She asked that the agenda be amended to move the election of officers to the start of the agenda. She felt that a single donation should not be mentioned in the annual report unless other donations are included as well. • Melinda De Los Santos said that the goals for 2026 are important, and that the library is underfunded. She said she is leaving but still supports the board. • Alex Benavides felt that the election of officers should have been sooner, and wants the agenda amended to make the election of officers first.
