This Resolution was approved on second reading unanimously. A motion was made by Jay Gardner to approve the Resolution as presented and it was seconded by Mike Lehnert. Parks & Recreation Leadership have no official response and support the Resolution.

Hearing
To Be Introduced

PRAC reviewed the Resolution language provided by Vice Chair Cronnon. The Resolution recommends to Council that during a next revision of the City Code, they add PRAC to the list of organizations exempt from the prohibition on providing recommendations on potential board appointments in Section 10.1.6(B) of the City Code. This item will remain on the agenda for the June 10th PRAC meeting for a second reading along with a response from PARD Staff.

Hearing
To Be Introduced

It has been determined that PRAC is interested in having more involvement recommending/vetting potential Committee members to Council during the election process. There has been a high turnover rate in recent years and PRAC would like to be excluded from the prohibition of reviewing/selecting potential members. PRAC feels that having more input in the election process could help better serve the community. Vice Chair Cronnon volunteered to draft a sample resolution for PRAC's review/action at the next meeting on May 13, 2026.
