Small Business Development Program

The Small Business Development Program (SBDP) is a City of Fort Worth initiative administered through the city's Economic Development Department to expand access and opportunity for local small businesses. It focuses on helping small businesses obtain Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification, navigate the city's procurement processes, and compete for municipal contracting opportunities, along with technical assistance and access to capital resources. The program was created by City Council action and operates in partnership with local business organizations, including the Fort Worth Chamber, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, as well as the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency for certification workshops.
