Most City of Fort Worth offices will be closed on January 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with modified or suspended operations across solid waste, animal care, libraries, recreation centers, water utility, and mass transit services.

Most City offices, including City Hall, will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Emergency services will be available as usual.

Solid waste collections: There will be no changes to residential collections. Garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk will be collected as normal. The City’s four Drop-Off Stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 19. If you have questions or need assistance, call 817-392-1234.

Animal Care & Control: Animal Campus and Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center will be closed Jan. 19. Normal operations resume Tuesday, Jan. 20. Both Hulen and Alliance PetSmart Adoption Centers will operate under normal hours.

Libraries: All Fort Worth Public Library locations will be closed Jan. 19.

Recreational amenities: On Jan. 19, all community centers, Haws Athletic Center and Log Cabin Village will be closed. Municipal golf courses, Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge and McLeland Tennis Center will be open.

Water utility: To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.

Mass transit: On Jan. 19, Trinity Metro will operate on a modified schedule.
