City of Fort Worth closures, service adjustments due to winter storm

Open source →The winter storm continues to impact City services. Public safety services are available. Call 911 in case of emergency.
City Manager Jay Chapa announced these service adjustments:
City Hall. Out of an abundance of caution, City Hall will remain closed to the public on Monday, Jan. 26. City Hall is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.
City Council meetings. City Council will conduct a work session at noon Tuesday, Jan. 27, followed by executive session and Council meeting starting at 2 p.m. Housing Finance Corporation will follow Council. View the agendas.
Solid Waste residential collections. No residential collections on Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27. This includes garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk waste. Regular schedules for garbage and recycling collections resume on Wednesday, Jan. 28, with Wednesday routes, as scheduled. Monday and Tuesday customers are allowed extra bags next week, on Monday, Feb. 2, and Tuesday, Feb. 3, respectively.
Libraries. All Fort Worth Public Library locations will be closed Monday, Jan. 26. Book drops are also closed. Fort Worth libraries are fine-free and no fines will be assessed for overdue books. Reserve items being held for pickup will be extended until locations reopen.
Municipal Court. On Monday, Jan. 26, all in-person scheduled dockets have been canceled. The A.D Marshal Public Courts Building will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, and reopen at noon Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Park & Recreation. All community centers will be closed to the public Monday, Jan. 26. Handley Meadowbrook and Como community centers will be open for early voting only from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Botanic Garden, Log Cabin Village, Fort Worth Nature Center and golf courses will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.
Public Events. Indoor events at Will Rogers Memorial Center (WRMC) will continue.
Business Assistance Center. The Devoyd Jennings Business Assistance Center (BAC) and the Guinn Campus will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, reopening at noon Tuesday.
Animal Care & Control: Both animal shelter locations will be closed to the public on Monday, Jan. 26, with minimal staffing for the care of animals. Animal Field Services will respond to emergency calls for service.
