Fort Worth Park & Recreation has announced Teresa Thomason CPRP as its new deputy director, bringing more than 25 years of experience leading recreation operations across North Texas. Thomason has served in key leadership roles with the City of Allen, City of McKinney, City of Keller and the Town of Flower Mound.

Throughout her career, Thomason has overseen large-scale recreation operations, community events, cultural arts programming and multimillion-dollar capital projects. Her professional expertise spans customer service training, employee development, fiscal management and strategic planning, with a consistent focus on improving both employee morale and the resident experience.

Thomason holds a master of science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a bachelor of science degree from the University of Iowa and a Local Government Management Certificate from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is currently completing her master of public affairs at the University of Texas at Dallas.
