Fort Worth Animal Care & Control has launched a new weekly social media series called “Fur Real Facts.” It’s designed to share surprising and useful information about adoptable animals and the Fort Worth municipal shelters.
Each segment sparks curiosity while providing residents with practical knowledge they can use. For example, did you know dogs can smell your fear? It’s true! Dogs detect stress hormones like cortisol in humans, so if you’re anxious, your dog might mirror your anxiety. Staying calm can help them stay calm too. You can also learn more about the upcoming bond to build a new animal shelter in the city.
Catch “Fur Real Facts” on all FWACC social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube. Follow to stay up-to-date and fully in-fur-med.
