The City’s Park & Recreation Department is hiring seasonal staff for 2026 summer programs, including Camp Fort Worth, Mobile Recreation and the Aquatics Division.

Camp Fort Worth and Mobile Recreation

Camp Fort Worth and Mobile Recreation serve children ages 5-12 at 21 community centers and four schools across the city.

Now hiring

Camp Leader ($18-$21.49/hour; age 16+; apply by May 1)

Senior Camp Leader ($19.39-$22.48/hour)

Literacy Support Specialist ($35/hour; up to 30 hours/week)

Mobile Recreation Site Supervisors ($21.60-$24.31/hour)

Program dates

Camp Fort Worth: June 8-July 31, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Mobile Recreation: June 8-July 24, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

All staff must attend pre-season orientation June 1-5.

Programs focus on character development, literacy, arts and crafts, team building, recreation and healthy lifestyles.

Pools

The department is also hiring for aquatics roles at Forest Park Pool and Marine Park Pool.

Lifeguards:

$19.39/hour

Age 16+ by May 1

No experience required

Certification training is provided for applicants who pass a tryout.

Additional positions:

Pool Attendant ($18/hour; age 16+)

Head Lifeguard ($20.89/hour)

Pool Manager ($22.50/hour)
