A Fort Worth City Council work session on the Fiscal Year 2027 budget will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in the City Council Work Session Room at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail.
A special-called City Council meeting to certify the results of the May 2 bond and charter election will be held at 4 p.m. in the Work Session Room. During that meeting, District 10 Councilmember Alan Blaylock will officially step down from office, and newly elected District 10 Councilmember Chris Jamieson will be sworn in. Jamieson will serve the remainder of Blaylock’s term until May 2027.
The City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.

Recognition for Fort Worth ISD Science Fair winners
Recognition for the achievements of the North Crowley High School basketball team under the leadership of Head Coach Tommy Brakel
Recognition for Mental Health Awareness Month
Recognition to professional cyclist Emily Newsom for excellence in professional cycling and community leadership
Recognition celebration of the inaugural UNT Health College of Nursing graduating class
Recognition celebrating 250 years of the U.S. Postal Service
Council will consider multiple items, including:
A major upgrade to the City’s water customer information and billing system aimed at improving account management, billing services and customer support.
Nearly $20 million in water main replacements near the Holly-North Side Pump Station to improve reliability and aging infrastructure.
Intersection improvements at North Tarrant Parkway and North Beach Street to help ease congestion and improve traffic flow.
Construction funding for intersection improvements at Northwest Loop 820 and Marine Creek Parkway.
Nearly $20 million in roadway improvements for Bailey Boswell West as growth continues in north Fort Worth.
Upgrades to Smiley Park, including new park improvements for residents in southeast Fort Worth.
A donation to help equip Fort Worth police patrol vehicles with automated external defibrillators for medical emergencies.
More than $5 million in water and sewer line replacements to modernize aging infrastructure.
There are 18 zoning cases on the agenda.
Residents may speak during the public comment portion of the agenda. Per Council Rules of Procedure:
Individual presentations are limited to three minutes.
Group presentations are limited to six minutes.
Time limits may be adjusted at the mayor’s discretion.
