Fort Worth Animal Care & Control is introducing the new Chip & Snip Community Pet Clinic, a mobile trailer designed to provide free spay and neuter services throughout Fort Worth. This fully equipped mobile pet clinic will launch on Saturday, July 18, bringing essential veterinary care directly into neighborhoods.

The Chip & Snip program is part of FWACC’s effort to encourage responsible pet ownership and expand access to critical pet services. Since the start of the 2026 fiscal year, FWACC has performed more than 5,335 spay and neuter surgeries at our shelter facilities.

This new mobile veterinary trailer builds on that momentum by meeting residents where they are, removing barriers to care and helping reduce the number of homeless animals by preventing unplanned litters.

Spaying and neutering also provide key health benefits. Pets that are fixed are less likely to develop certain cancers and are less likely to roam, fight, mark territory or show aggressive behavior.

“The Chip & Snip trailer lets us bring these services directly into neighborhoods where the need is the greatest,” said FWACC Assistant Director Chris McAllister. “It’s about partnering with residents right where they live to make responsible pet care easy and accessible.”

The Chip & Snip trailer is outfitted with modern medical equipment to perform spay and neuter surgeries, administer vaccinations and provide microchipping services. The mobile clinic will visit select neighborhoods, where residents can drop off their pets for scheduled services and pick them up the same day.

Appointments will be available through an online registration portal. All procedures will be performed by licensed veterinarians and trained medical staff to ensure high-quality care.
