Free Homebuyer's Resource Fair to help build path to ownership

Residents interested in purchasing a home can take the first step toward homeownership by attending the Homebuyer's Resource Fair: Financial Coaching Workshop, a free event designed to provide practical financial education and connect participants with valuable homeownership resources.

The workshop will take place Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brighter Outlook, 4910 Dunbar St., Fort Worth, TX 76105.

Whether attendees are just beginning to explore homeownership or are preparing to purchase a home in the future, the workshop will offer guidance on building a strong financial foundation. Participants will learn how to improve their financial readiness, understand the homebuying process, and explore programs that can make purchasing a home more affordable.

Workshop topics:

Understanding the step-by-step homebuying process

Managing credit, debt and budgeting

Creating a personalized financial plan with one-on-one coaching

Learning about down payment assistance programs, including opportunities for up to $25,000 in assistance for eligible buyers

Beginning the process of earning a Homebuyer Education Certificate, which is often required for assistance programs and some mortgage lenders

The workshop is hosted by the City of Fort Worth EnVision Center in partnership with Chase Bank, HREBA and Fort Worth Community Land Trust. Together, these organizations are committed to expanding access to affordable homeownership opportunities and helping residents build long-term financial stability.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
