Observe the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. homeland during a solemn and meaningful ceremony at Fort Worth City Hall.

The event begins at 7:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, on the Back Porch gathering space at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail. Moments of silence will be timed to coincide with the exact times when jets crashed into buildings on the East Coast on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

Remarks will be presented by Mayor Mattie Parker, Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn, police and fire chaplains, military personnel, first responders and others who provided heroic responses to the crash scenes.

Color guards from the Fort Worth Fire Department and the Fort Worth Police Department, along with pipe and drum corps, will attend. Fire, police and rescue apparatus from area first responders will be staged along Forest Park Boulevard.

Limited public parking is available at City Hall, with overflow parking available at Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St.
