McCart Avenue Corridor study charts route for future growth, mobility

As the City continues planning for growth and mobility as outlined in the recently adopted Master Transportation Plan, the McCart Avenue Corridor study aims to revitalize another historic part of Fort Worth.
The study covers a 10-mile section of McCart Avenue equipped with advanced technology infrastructure.
The McCart Avenue Project Hub of Transportation Technology (HOTT) report is available to review here, and the community is also invited to provide comments.
The corridor includes the area between I-20 and the Future County Road 920 (in Burleson) and Altamesa Boulevard between Hulen Street and Village Parkway. Technological advancements envisioned include fiber optic cables, electric vehicle charging stations, free public Wi-Fi, next-generation traffic signals and premium transit service.
The study aims to develop land use and transportation improvements to make the area a safer, more accessible and livable corridor for all users. The desired outcomes involve improved connectivity across the area with enhanced multimodal options for residents whether driving, biking, walking or using public transit.
The public can view and comment on the final draft report at the www.movingamillion.org site.
