Trinity Trails

Portions of Trinity Park, including the Dream Park playground, are temporarily closed for Mayfest festival setup (April 30–May 3), with alternative trail detours and a nearby playground remaining open; historically, Mayfest has returned over $7.5 million to the community for park improvements including Trinity Park lighting and trail connections.

The historic Fort Worth Power and Light Co. power plant, a Beaux-Arts structure built circa 1912 and decommissioned in 2004, sits abandoned along the Trinity River and is now owned by Tarrant County College District, with Panther Island developers suggesting potential reuse as a performing arts venue, museum, or loft-style offices.
