The City of Fort Worth and NCTCOG launched a pilot program Aug. 1 to reduce excessive speeding, with Fort Worth police increasing nighttime enforcement on Loop 820 and Interstate Highway 30 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. The pilot is part of the Regional Transportation Council's $57 million safety program, of which $7 million was allocated to speeding reduction efforts.
