Audit Committee

The Audit Committee is a committee of the Corpus Christi City Council, established under the city's Code of Ordinances chapter governing the Office of the City Auditor. It is composed of council members appointed by the Mayor, who also designates the chairperson, and it provides guidance to and oversight of the City Auditor's Office. The committee reviews the City Auditor's annual audit plan and work program, monitors the city's internal controls through the results of internal and external audits, and serves as the reporting channel that supports the City Auditor's independence from city management.
